Christmas Morning Games

New to Affordable Agility, and just in time for Christmas!

Gathering around the Christmas tree with your family and dog makes for a very special day.   Surprise your dog under the Christmas tree this holiday with one or all of these dog interactive games!  It’s fun and will keep him happily occupied as you unwrap your presents!

Agility dogs use their brain a lot- they look at you, at the course, and make split second judgments on the obstacle they’re facing.  By teaching your dog to solve puzzles like these games, you’re teaching him to think creatively and work for his reward.

What you do is hide treats under the ‘game board pieces’ and your dog has to use his mind to find ways of dislodging the pieces or moving the puzzle pieces around to get to the hidden pockets.   There are different ways he can do this, paws and nose and as he continues to play he will learn more effective ways of getting to the treats faster.   You make them more challenging by hiding less treats in the hidden pockets and making your dog work harder for his reward.  This will make for an increasingly more focused and patient dog.  The longer they can focus on a single object, tackling it objectively, the more they are stretching their mental abilities.

More features we love:

  • Durable, slobber-proof and dishwasher safe
  • No-skid feet so they won’t skid around as your dog paws at them.
  • Adaptable for all ages of dogs, and even cats can learn to use them
  • Comes with a training booklet

The game in the video below is called the “Dog Tornado”.  It’s one of the more challenging games in the series.  We carry 3 more of these games, and they range in skill levels.   We suggest collecting all four! 🙂
