Tuna Fudge

I’ve been talking to more and more people who like to make their own dog treats – and in our “Competition Ritual Contest” I saw an entry where the handler makes their dog tuna fudge, and I’ve met a few agility lovers who make it for their dogs.

It sounds gross, right?  It kinda is, to me, but my dogs go absolutely bonkers for it.  I’ve posted the recipe below – I found the information on food.com by MSZANZ.  Do you make this treat? What variations have you seen? Quick warning to everybody – make this on a nice day, so you can open your kitchen windows. (Unless you don’t mind the yummy tuna scent wafting through your house…)

2 (6 ounce) cans tuna (do not drain)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup parmesan cheeseDirections:

1 Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer until well blended.
2  Spread mixture into a greased 9×9 cake pan.
3 Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
4 Store in refrigerator or freeze.
